There is a place out, way out, on 9th Street, outside Laramie, that few people other than locals know about. 9th Street is also called Roger Canyon Road and goes over the Laramie Mountains to the tiny town of Horse Creek, near Chugwater. It is a beautiful, uncrowded place.
Up on top of the mountains along 9th Street.
Still a bit of snow remaining on this May day.
Dramatic clouds and empty spaces.
Up on 9th Street.
Interesting rocks.
There are areas to hike around.
We walked up to those trees.
The road seems to stretch on forever.
Another view of the tree covered hills by the road.

The cliffs had little caves in them.
It snowed for awhile.
A herd of deer running.
A loan pronghorn.
As the road nears it's end on the east side there are red hills.
Striking red rocks were beautiful, highlighted with the green of the sage brush.
Looking down into the valley near Horse Creek. Roger Canyon Road changes its name to Fisher Canyon Road somewhere around here.
